Google Senior Financial Analyst, Technical Infrastructure in Austin, Texas

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 7 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function, or 5 years of experience with an advanced degree.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in building data infrastructure (e.g., designing architecture, building data pipelines, implementing scalable monitoring) and implementing reporting solutions.

  • Experience with complex strategic and operational initiatives, often across multiple products, functions, and geographies.

  • Experience developing strategies in fast-paced environments.

  • Ability to work with data to produce analysis, influencing decision making with numerical analysis and generating insights.

  • Ability to take ownership, interact with all levels, set objectives, drive results, and be a team player.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work with a wide variety of departments.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $132,000-$196,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Develop an understanding of Google’s technical infrastructure and the economics of our business.

  • Serve as the subject matter expert in helping our product area business partners understand and influence their technical infrastructure costs.

  • Identify opportunities for product area demand shaping and efficiencies to lead to a more optimal fleet.

  • Maintain and improve both near-term and multi-year models for Operational Expenditure (OpEx), Capital Expenditure (CapEx) and reporting governance, including AI/ML.

  • Build relationships and collaborate across numerous touch points within and beyond Technical Infrastructure (TI) and present takeaways to leadership.
