The fleet and facilities in a given market are the physical presence of Sunrun in that market - they represent our branch, they facilitate our ability to work, and they drive the culture of our teams.

The Sr. Manager, Fleet & Facilities Operations manages a team of high performing individual contributors focused on implementing strategic initiatives and projects to optimize the operations of the Fleet and Facilities org. You will establish processes and tracking for your team, track and drive execution of key initiatives, and prioritize the requests coming in from leadership and other organizations throughout the company. Under your leadership, your team will lead efforts such as vehicle fleet electrification, branch openings and closures, new branding implementation throughout the portfolio, systems automation, and much more. You will identify project goals, objectives, and scope to create a project plan that outlines the tasks, timelines, resources and budget. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on everything from corporate initiatives to fine tuning processes, and we will look to you to help identify opportunities to improve our operations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop team goals, KPIs, templates, and timelines to effectively and efficiently execute key strategic initiatives and projects

  • Identify opportunities for operational improvements within the Fleet and Facilities org

  • Manage resource allocation and prioritization of your team based on impact, leadership and corporate goals, and business needs

  • Develop business cases and strategy recommendations for key initiatives and projects for the Fleet and Facilities team

  • Accountable for managing and monitoring project performance of multiple projects with one or more internal and external dependencies, multiple scopes

  • Identify, negotiate, communicate, and manage processes and timelines; provide reporting and status updates of initiatives, including project risks, to customers, project team, supervisor, and cross-functional stakeholders

  • Identify and escalate concerns within key areas of project or business unit performance and report on lessons learned

  • Document best practices, work instructions, and Fleet and Facilities communication materials

  • Manage key ongoing activities such as new markets/new branches/branch relocations, KPI and metrics reporting, scope of work policies, and competitive benchmarking

  • Handle information requests and prepare regular & ad hoc presentations

  • Clarify, identify, and track requirements and issues, remove barriers, resolve minor project issues and escalate to leadership where required

  • Process invoices and accounting entries for Fleet related large dollar accounts and invoices

  • Develop corporate Fleet policies and practices that satisfy management operations, audit and financial control requirements

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 7-10 years of previous project management, fleet administration, product management, or equivalent experience

  • Experience managing a team is a plus

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), with sophisticated understanding tailoring content to the audience

  • Strong relationship management skills, with an ability to resolve conflicts and negotiate solutions

  • Ability to develop project plans, manage individual and team deadlines and goals

  • Must be able to self-start/self-manage, take on various duties in short time, and be able to take initiative when needed

  • Successful in project managing executives, lateral coworkers, and entry level employees

  • Detail-oriented, accurate, and poised under pressure

  • Experience in project management, contract negotiation, reporting and metrics, and analytics

  • Advanced computer skills and ability to apply technology to the work environment

  • Solid knowledge and experience in various Project Management and Product Development concepts, methodologies and processes - including Scrum, SDLC, Waterfall and Agile is a plus

  • Creation and refinement of process and workflow management experience

  • Experience with project tracking and management tools such as Workfront, ServiceNow, Asana, and Jira is a plus

  • Experience utilizing the Google Office suite products (e.g., Google Mail, Sheets, Documents, Google Drive etc.) and/or the Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.)

  • Ability to stay focused and organized managing multiple projects in a fast paced environment

Physical Demands

  • Ability to work safely in a warehouse environment

  • Ability to operate office equipment including computers and determine accuracy of work

  • Ability to interact with co-workers and participate in meetings

  • Ability to transport materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks (up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds with assistance)

  • Ability to travel to regional sites via air and ground transportation

It assumes that the successful candidate will be located in markets within the United States that warrant the compensation listed. Candidates in locations outside this local area may have a different starting salary range for this opportunity which may be higher or lower. Please speak with your recruiter to learn more.

Starting salary/wage for this opportunity:

$82,324.46 to $109,765.95

Other rewards may include annual bonus eligibility, which is based on company and individual performance, short and long term incentives, and program-specific awards. Sunrun provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
