Charles Schwab Sr Manager - Software Development & Engineering Senior in Austin, Texas

Duties : Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs. Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis. Responsible for deploying APM tools including Prometheus and App dynamics in AWS applications. Support production releases and help developers to understand the platform. Deploy and maintain APM agent in all PCF applications that SRE support and integrate different applications with single dashboard. Responsible for rotating SSL certificates for PCF applications. Maintain AWS thematic infrastructure using terraform. Work with Devops team to understand the DR infrastructure and help them with any work Devops may have.
Position allows for partial remote work. Must live within reasonable commuting distance. Reports to company office in Austin, Texas. Subject to Schwab’s internal approach to workplace flexibility.
Starting compensation for this location depends on related experience. Annual bonus opportunity and other eligible earnings are not included in the range(s) above. We offer a competitive benefits package, see below for details.
Salary: $157,190 to $246,800 per year
What you have
Job Requirements : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems Technologies, or a related field and 6 years of progressive, post-bachelor’s experience in a related occupation or a Master's degree and 4 years of experience.
Experience must include the following: Build and support application environments using AWS and PCF; Integrate apps with monitoring tools using AppDynamics, Splunk, Prometheus, and AWS Otel Collector; Automate tasks using Python and Bash; Deploy apps using Bamboo and PCF platforms using concourse; Configure SSL certificates for applications and Amazon ELBs for applications in ECS; Deploy/integrate monitoring using Appdynamics and Prometheus for applications in PCF and ECS; and Troubleshoot ECS and Cloud foundry applications in production and participate in on-call rotations.
