Lincoln Tech's Columbia, MD campus is looking for a Lead Welding Instructor to provide leadership to those working within the area of instruction. You would ensure quality delivery of assigned courses using the appropriate methods, including teaching, tutoring, and lecturing. You would also be expected to maintain a high student retention rate based on Company, regulatory, and accreditation guidelines.
Key Qualifications:
3+ years [Insert Discipline] experience
Excellent interpersonal communication and public speaking skills
Responsibilities
Conducts classroom observations and surveys. Reviews the results with faculty, students, the Director of Education, and staff as appropriate.
Maintains an inventory of all equipment, book supplies, training aids, and course materials within the respective program.
Assists with scheduling instructors to assigned classes and that adequate provisions are made for classes affected by faculty absences.
Assists instructors on delivery methods that address students' different learning styles.
Mentors and provides initial training for new instructors.
Prepares and organizes the lesson materials, equipment, and training areas.
Teaches classes, where appropriate.
Assists with faculty recruitment, hiring, orientation, professional development, evaluation, and management.
Enforces and supports school policies and procedures; advises instructors as necessary.
Contributes to the curriculum review process, making suggestions and collecting information from instructors.
Coordinates externship or internship site visits with instructional staff.
Ability to interpret key statistics related to student retention
Attention to detail, and a passion for quality
Ability to produce routine reports and correspondence
