Robert Half Human Resources (HR) Manager in Baltimore, Maryland

Description

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an experienced Human Resources Manager in the logistics industry. The role is based in BALTIMORE, Maryland. As an HR Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing and coordinating HR functions such as benefit functions, employee relations, and benefits administration. You will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulations and using HR management systems (HRMS) effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee all HR functions including recruitment, compensation, benefits, training, and employee relations

• Utilize HRMS effectively for HR functions and data management

• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws related to employee benefits, compensation, and employment

• Collaborate with ADP - Financial Services for financial aspects related to HR

• Effectively use ADP Workforce Now for HR management and employee data tracking

• Develop and implement HR policies and procedures

• Handle employee relations issues and conduct investigations when needed

• Administer benefits and handle benefits administration tasks

• Conduct regular audits of HR files and records to ensure compliance

• Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders for HR-related activities and projects.

Requirements • Proven experience in a Human Resources (HR) Manager role within the Logistics industry

• Proficiency in using ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now

• Experience with HRMS

• Knowledge and understanding of Benefit Functions, Compliance, Employee Relations, and Benefits Administration

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Excellent leadership and decision-making abilities

• Strong knowledge of labor legislation and payroll processes

• Ability to develop and implement HR strategies that align with business objectives

• Demonstrated ability to manage every aspect of the HR department, including recruitment, employee relations, and training & development

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
