Aston Carter Project Cost Analyst in Baltimore, Maryland

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Project Accountant to join our accounting and finance department, focusing on a significant large vessel project scheduled for completion within the next 12-24 months. This role involves overseeing all accounting and finance aspects of the project, managing financial documents, ensuring compliance with financial policies, and maintaining strict confidentiality of financial data. The successful candidate will prepare comprehensive financial reports, audit financial transactions, and ensure the accuracy of financial records.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a similar area of specialty and two to four years of experience in the field or in a related area.

  • Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the government defense industry.

  • Ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

  • Balance sheet management

  • Profit/loss statement preparation

  • Financial reporting

  • Data confidentiality

  • Database backups

  • Financial auditing

  • Government invoicing

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Baltimore, Maryland.
