Johns Hopkins University Research Technologist in Baltimore, Maryland

The Department of Neuroscience is seeking a Research Technologist who will work in the laboratory of Dr. Xinzhong Dong and will help support research in neuro-immune focused project(s).

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • Under the general supervision of a faculty investigator and other senior laboratory members, the successful candidate will be responsible for,

  • Mouse colony management and organization, mouse genotyping including Cre-Lox breeding.

  • Maintaining and operating flow cytometry and FACS sorting machines.

  • Cell culture maintenance and assay(s) execution.

  • Mouse tissue processing for cellular assays.

  • Responsible or organizing and presenting data, troubleshooting protocols.

  • Other laboratory duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Chemistry or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in molecular and cell biology.

Classified Title: Research Technologist

Role/Level/Range: ACRO40/E/02/CC

Starting Salary Range: $15.50 - $26.00 HRLY (Commensurate with experience)

Employee group: Full Time

Schedule: M-F 8:30 am – 5:00 pm

Exempt Status: Non-Exempt
