Roles & Responsibilities:
Design experience in MV/LV system and associated equipment/design (SLD, Load List, Switchgear, MCC, Motors, UPS, Control Panels, Junction Boxes, BOQ).
Responsible for preparation of Electrical Load List, Electrical Single Line Diagrams, Electrical Schematics and Wiring Diagrams and also in modification and re-detailing on Electrical Design
Experienced in Cable Sizing and Selection, Equipment Layout Design, Earthing & Lighting Protection Design, Short Circuit & Voltage Drop Calculations.
Preparation of Technical Documents like Equipment Specifications/Datasheets.
Preparation of Cable Tray/Conduit laying and installation drawings. Ability to develop various substation and power distribution scheme single line diagram.
Ability to develop/lead physical substation layouts and coordinate civil and mechanical disciplines.
Substation design Scope of Work and specifications development
Perform preliminary studies for grounding, lightning protection, arc flash hazard, and other studies required for substation design.
Experience in Design calculations for Transformer, Generator
Required Skills (Technical Competency):
Review of Vendor Drawings and Technical Bid Evaluation/Approval
Experienced in coordinating with Piping/Mechanical/Instrumentation designer for Electrical Design Interface details
Experienced in assisting during installation, testing and commissioning of Electrical System Equipment at site and coordinating with other discipline to support in project work completion
Experience of participation in FAT and SAT
Familiar with Codes and Standards : ISA, IEC, CSA, NEC(NFPA70)
Familiar with Equipment Selection, Electrical Design Guidelines requirements around Electrical Area Classification in Oil and Gas industry
Familiarity with instrumentation and process control design for Oil and Gas industry
Familiarity with Midstream/Downstream design/engineering processes for Oil and Gas industry
Advanced competency with AutoCAD 2D is must, AutoCAD 3D capability would be an added advantage
Experience of using engineering tool ETAP for power system analysis would be an added advantage
To prepare Material List and MTOs for Electrical requirements.
To monitor the overall design phase including the co-ordination with the customers and vendors for progress and updates.
Assist with developing and maintaining technical guidelines, processes, procedures and standards for technical design.
Desired Skills:
Team player, should work together other Technical disciplines in order to achieve Integrated project Execution.
Engineering degree (Civil, Mechanical or structural Engineering).
2 to 4 years of experience in related industry (refining/petrochemical/LNG/oil & gas).
Experience with Structural Layouts, P&IDs, equipment data sheets, interpreting vendor manuals.
Experience with Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
