ROLE PURPOSE

The Group Treasury manager is responsible for the days to day operations of the Treasury function and providing support in strategic treasury matters.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Full responsibility and leadership of the International Business, Group Treasury Function

  • Be the main point of contact for Glory HQ Treasury in Japan, leading monthly meetings and preparing presentations as required.

  • Track and monitor short and long-term Group cash flow forecasts reporting.

  • Lead on cash improvement initiatives globally.

  • Track, monitor and manage Group and HQ Foreign currency exposure including calculating and placing Spot and Forward FX Trades and FX SWAPs with core banking partners.

  • Manage global Clearing Banking migration to HSBC and oversee closure of legacy bank accounts.

  • Manage global Cash pooling project with HSBC.

  • Be the main point of contact for Global banking partners.

  • Periodically review security over Global bank accounts to ensure upmost security and adherence to the Group Treasury policy.

  • Manage Intra-group loans with Group parent and within International Business. Liaison with Group Tax to ensure most tax advantageous positions are taken where possible. Liaison with Glory LTD for additional funding for Working Capital and M&A opportunities.

  • Support Treasury development of Acrelec and Flooid Groups (new acquisitions).

  • Lead on other Group treasury projects.

  • Liaise closely with Glory HQ Treasury Japan.

  • Identify and implement improvements to existing processes.

  • Ad hoc projects.

    EDUCATION & QUALIFICATION

  • Ideally Treasury related qualification/ Member of associated professional body.

  • Ideally recognised accounting (preferably ACA or ACCA) with a minimum 4-5 years post qualification experience,

  • Ideally degree qualified

    INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE

  • Experience of Treasury management including effective medium to long term Foreign currency management and planning.

  • Experience of Global Cash pooling.

  • Experience of Cash flow forecasting.

  • Experience of strong cash management and security controls.

  • Experience of monitoring and managing impacts of Legal and Banking sanctions.

  • Demonstrable experience of implementing process efficiencies and control improvements.

  • Time spent working for mid to large tier corporate.

  • Experience of working in a pressured environment and working to deadlines.

  • Ability to interact at senior management and Board level.

  • Ability to interact with Operational and Sales teams as required to support the business.

  • Strong systems/process background; knowledge of JDE and Tagetik would be highly favoured.

  • Strong academic background.

  • English speaker; other language skills would be a bonus (especially Japanese and French) but are not required.
