As a Medical Receptionist at Greater Austin Allergy, you can expect to work with today’s leaders in Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. Supporting this team, you will find yourself; communicating with patients in-person and over the phone, scheduling appointments and injections, proactively handling accounts receivable and receiving patient payments. Medical Receptionist Education and Experience Requirements: * Provide an outstanding patient experience during all phone conversations, office visits and while responding to patient concerns or complaints * Operate multi-line phone system in addition to standard office equipment (fax, copy, scan, email, etc.) * Ability and willingness to cross train and support other clinical areas when necessary * Maintains comprehensive knowledge of healthcare insurance and billing information; including processes and requirements * Ability to stand for extended periods of time throughout the day * Comply with regulations, standard operation procedures and state mandated laws * Document all appointment associated tasks in the Practice Management (PM), electronic medical record (EMR) and other systems as required accurately and in a timely manner (demographics, insurance information, charge slip entry, etc.) Collaboration and team-work is one of the largest components to success as a Medical Receptionist at Stone Oak Allergy-San Antonio.
