Description
Robert Half is seeking a Bookkeeper for our client in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. As the Bookkeeper, you will play a crucial role in managing financial transactions and maintaining accurate financial records. The role involves a high level of interaction with various departments and external partners to support financial operations. This is a short-term contract to full time employment opportunity.
Responsibilities
• Management of financial transactions on a day-to-day basis
• Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records
• Assisting with the creation of financial reports
• Regularly performing bank and account reconciliations
• Overseeing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
• Timely and accurate processing of weekly payroll
• Monitoring and managing company budgets and expenditures
• Collaborating with team members and external partners to support financial operations
• Assisting with the preparation of documentation for audits and tax filings
• Ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant financial regulations
Requirements
• Must demonstrate proficiency in Account Reconciliation
• Must be skilled in handling Accounts Payable (AP)
• Must be adept at managing Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Must have substantial experience in Bank Reconciliations
• Must possess strong Bookkeeping skills
• Must be proficient in Data Entry tasks
• Must have a good grasp of Microsoft Excel
• Must be capable of conducting Month End Close procedures
• Must be experienced in managing Payroll
• Must have proficiency in using QuickBooks
