Swim Instructor - Beaumont, TX
part-time; 10-15 hrs/wk
Are you passionate about teaching water safety and developing strong swimmers? HealthFitness is looking for Swim Instructors to join the aquatics team at our community recreation center located in Beaumont, TX. In this position, you will teach all students in a logical progression of aquatic development, including the basic knowledge and skills needed for safety in the water as well as advanced swimming techniques in all swimming strokes.
What you'll need to have
Must be at least 17 years old.
Adult & Child CPR/AED/First Aid certification from American Heart Association, American Red Cross or American Safety & Health Institute required within 30 days of hire.
Current American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certification or 2-3 years of experience teaching swim lessons required.
Must possess excellent swimming skills and be able to swim 500 meters using the 5 basic strokes.
Must be knowledgeable of all Red Cross levels of swimming and be able to communicate them clearly with all swimming students.
Applicants must meet hiring requirements including but not limited to pre-employment drug test.
Ability to navigate electronic onboarding and timecard systems required.
