Reference #: 4561322 THE POSITION The State Correctional Institution (SCI) at Rockview is seeking an energetic, enthusiastic, self-motivated Food Service Instructor to lead inmates in food service operations. Become a valuable member of our team by teaching inmates important skills for employment outside of the institution.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Corrections Food Service Instructor, you will assign, participate in, and review tasks performed by inmates in the areas of pre-preparation, production, service, and baking. You will ensure proper control over inmates by enforcing custody and security regulations, and you will inspect all food service areas, equipment, and food for conformance with established standards.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment, 40 hour work week. Work hours rotate with 8 hour shifts. The shift will be determine by seniority bidding. This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Two years of experience in food preparation, production, or service of a variety of complete meal menus in an institutional food service operation, food catering service, restaurant, or in a similar large-scale food production operation; or An equivalent combination of experience and training. Additional Requirements:
