The Manager, Product & Engineering leads the design, product and technical build, support and maintenance of a key product or limited product portfolio, as well as the supporting technology capabilities and infrastructure that support that product in an Agile driven environment. Most often leading teams of 5 - 10 FTE, and may lead teams of onshore and offshore contracting companies. Direct reporting line may include team(s) of Product Manager(s), Product Owner(s), technical and solution architecture, DevOps management, UI / UX, Test, as well as full stack Software Development. This Manager role will lead our in-house gateway payment platform, driving innovation across acceptance, processing, and settlement. This high-impact role supervises the platform roadmap, development, and operational support, ensuring flawless performance and scalability. The ideal candidate will blend technical expertise with strategic vision to craft the future of payments, collaborating cross-functionally to optimize reliability, security, and efficiency in a multifaceted financial ecosystem. Job Responsibilities: Platform Leadership: Be responsible for the strategy, development, and execution of the in-house payment platform, ensuring seamless acceptance, processing, and settlement of transactions. Roadmap Development: Define and drive the product and engineering roadmap, prioritizing initiatives that improve platform performance, scalability, and security. Engineering Oversight: Lead the engineering team in building, maintaining, and optimizing payment processing capabilities, ensuring high availability and reliability. Operational Excellence: Lead platform operations, incident response, and continuous improvement to maintain compliance and service level commitments. Stakeholder Teamwork: Work closely with internal teams, including finance, compliance, risk, and partners, to align payment solutions with company objectives. Innovation & Optimization: Identify new technologies and industry trends to enhance platform capabilities and competitive positioning. Regulatory & Compliance Adherence: Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, security practices, and industry standards in payment processing. Team Leadership & Development: Build and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of technical perfection and teamwork in a CI/CD environment. Education: Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Engineering, IT or equivalent experience. (Required) Work Experience: Payments Expertise: 7+ years of experience in product management and/or engineering leadership within payment processing, fintech, or financial services. 4-7 years Product Management experience in agile software product development environments. (Required) Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Platform Development: Consistent record of leading the development, scaling, and optimization of payment platforms, including acceptance, processing, and settlement. Technical Leadership: Strong experience supervising engineering teams, driving agile development, and implementing scalable, high-availability systems.
