Wal-Mart Associates, Inc. Senior Software Engineer in Bellevue, Washington

Position: Senior Software Engineer

Job Location: 10500 NE 8th Street, Bellevue, WA 98004

Duties: Utilize Kotlin, Java, mobile languages, Android and mobile frameworks, compilers, linkers, and software best practices to all mobile engineering teams. Supports and enhances Core Styles User Interface (UI) component frameworks used by all mobile engineering teams and ensure ADA compliance and technical rigor. Troubleshoots difficult cross-vertical issues and engage stakeholders as needed. Perform in-depth technical analysis of CPU-limited, network-limited, and other performance bottlenecks in Walmart eCommerce software applications. Evaluates third party SDKs (Software Development Kits) and provides technical guidance to business stakeholders. Supports continuous integration pipelines for native mobile applications, automate identification issues, and resolve build errors to unblock teams. Provides fundamental cross-feature infrastructure for new business initiatives, including low level networking, logging, crash reporting, and cross-module communication and synchronization.

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any) or related field and 2 years of experience in large scale enterprise software development environment; OR Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any) or related field and 5 years of experience in large scale enterprise software development environment.

Skills required: Experience with Kotlin, Java, Swift and Objective-C. Experience with software best practices used by mobile engineering teams. Experience enhancing Core Styles User Interface (UI) component frameworks. Experience with Firebase Crashlytics. Experience working on UI components using Android Jetpack Compose. Experience coding in IDE platform Android Studio. Experience using Jira and Confluence. Demonstrated knowledge of Agile Methodologies including Scrum and Kanban. Experience accessing Git workflows. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.

Salary Range: $162,531/year to $216,000/year. Additional. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.?  Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
