Amazon Sr. Product Manager - Tech, AMXL Product Strategy in Bellevue, Washington

Description

Do you enjoy breaking down and solving complex problems for the benefit of a quickly expanding customer base, focusing first on our customer and working backwards? If so, the AMXL Product Strategy team is looking for an experienced leader with a strong record of innovating in uncharted territory to make step-change improvements in selection, cost, sustainability, and CX. This role will work with partners across the WW AMXL vertical, Retail org, and partner tech orgs to deliver worldwide solutions that unlock new selection or optimize for the growth of existing Heavy Bulky selection.

Key job responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Retail, Finance, Operations, and Tech partners to define and optimize supply chain and operating models for Heavy Bulky (HB) products.

  • Form and lead cross-functional project teams to plan, organize, manage, and execute complex tech initiatives across multiple organizations and stakeholders.

  • Develop and communicate the global vision for key HB product selections across AMXL marketplaces, aligning with tech-enabled growth strategies.

  • Identify opportunities and lead initiatives to leverage technology in optimizing the supply chain for improved customer experience and operational efficiency.

  • Create comprehensive strategy documents and presentations that clearly articulate the vision, roadmap, and expected outcomes to senior leadership.

  • Define and prioritize requirements for tech solutions to improve availability and speed for our customers.

  • Stay current with emerging technologies and market trends, identifying opportunities to apply them to HB product growth and customer experience enhancement.

  • Up to 10% travel required.

A day in the life

A Day in the Life of an AMXL Senior Product Manager – Tech will include:

  • Leading cross-functional meetings with Operations, Transportation, and Tech teams to gather requirements and align on solutions for complex delivery challenges

  • Analyzing operational metrics and customer feedback to identify opportunities for technological improvements, using data-driven insights to prioritize product features that enhance delivery success rates and customer satisfaction

  • Parntering with ML/AI teams to develop and refine prediction models for delivery times, taking into account unique variables like item size, building access, and delivery complexity

  • Driving weekly product review meeting with senior leadership, presenting progress on key initiatives and gathering feedback on proposed roadmap changes

  • Partnering with your fellow Sr. Product Managers and Sr. Product Managers – Tech in the AMXL Product Strategy team to innovate on behalf of the entire AMXL end-to-end business, building features making Heavy Bulky purchases more seamless for our customers.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative/technical field such as computer science, engineering, statistics

  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience

  • Experience bridging technical and business teams to collect and refine requirements, prioritize incoming work requests, and ensure all committed work is delivered on time

  • Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

  • Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools

  • Experience owning feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience with end to end product delivery

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a quantitative/technical field such as computer science, engineering, statistics

  • 7+ years of technical product or program management experience

  • Experience in an operational environment developing, fast-prototyping, piloting and launching analytic products

  • Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight

  • Experience performing statistical analysis of data using SQL, Excel and other tools

  • Experience with concepts such as system architecture, optimization, system dynamics, system analysis, statistical analysis, reliability analysis, and decision making

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
