Oracle Senior Applications Engineer in BENGALURU, India

Job Description

Our JD Edwards is an enterprise solution for managing business processes and solving business challenges for any-size business with a long heritage with development centers spread across Denver & IDC (India) working together as a single team. Critical issues are supervised and worked on a 24X7 model – with efficient collaboration between these locations. The development center has dedicated Development, Quality Testing & Information Development Teams. Our division develops software according to provided design specifications and also based on client requirements captured. Additionally the team also sustains the product by building improvements and resolves bugs, both internally and externally reported.Role Summary: Qualifications and Special skillsQualification:

Possess B.Tech/M.Tech/MCA degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area

Possess 6+ years of software engineering or related experience

Perform duties and tasks which are standard with some variation

Display understanding of roles, processes and procedures

Perform moderately sophisticated problem solving with assistancmentorshipidance in understanding and applying company policies and processes

Special Skills

experience with C,C++ & Basic Database Structure.

experience with software development tools such as PL/SQL, MS SQL, DB2 etc..

experience with, preferably, JDE applications / exposure to JDE development Tools/ JDE Financials

Demonstrate basic understanding of domain for which applications are being developed

Job Description: Key Responsibilities and Job requirementsResponsibilities

As a member of the Applications Engineering organization, you will:

Support our existing customers by resolving Bugs

Perform detailed design based on provided high level design specifications

Assisting system planning, scheduling and implementation

Build improvements (including new product features)

Build and complete unit test and unit test plans

EXECUTION

Contribute to functional and technical designs

Build code and unit test program units of medium complexity

Debug, fix and unit test product defects of medium complexity

Perform code reviews of medium complexity

TEAMWORK /LEADERSHIP

Contribute to the definition of the team processes and standards

Operate under minimum supervision, primarily within the boundaries of the team

Cooperate with others within and outside group who impact work processes to achieve group objectives

As a member of the software engineering division, you will perform high-level design based on provided external specifications. Specify, design and implement minor changes to existing software architecture. Build highly sophistiimprovementsements and resolve sophisticated bugs. Build and complete unit tests and unit plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Connect with QA and porting engineering as vital to discuss minor changes to product functionality and to ensure quality and consistency across specific products. Duties and tasks are varied and sophisticated needing independent judgment. Fully proficient in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7+ years of software engineering or related experience.
