Google Software Engineering Manager, Cloud Databases in Bengaluru, India
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of experience in software development and with data structures/algorithms.
3 years of experience in people management.
Experience leading a team to build and scale distributed systems, in a cloud environment.
Preferred qualifications:
Strong understanding of database architecture, performance optimization, and GenAI concepts.
Proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
Excellent communication and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.

Provide technical and strategic leadership to a team of talented database engineers, fostering innovation and driving successful project execution.
Hire, mentor, develop, and retain top engineering talent, building a high-performing, collaborative team.
Lead the development and launch of GenAI-focused database products, ensuring high quality, scalability, and reliability to meet the needs of our global user base.
Work closely with product management, other engineering teams, and stakeholders to align on priorities, gather requirements, and achieve business goals.
Maintain a strong focus on reliability, security, and operational efficiency for large-scale distributed systems, upholding Google's commitment to excellence.
