Job Description
Production Support
o Optimize production processes and logistics regarding
safety, environment, cost, quality, and regulatory requirements.
o Provide key technical input for the definition of concepts for
new plants, improvement of existing equipment and/or the identification
of alternative equipment or installations
o Ensure production equipment uptime through preventive or
predictive measures as well as small modifications and repairs
o Ensure reliability of Production Unit process equipment,
facilities and utilities
o Provide the necessary technical expertise for troubleshooting and
resolving problems with Production Unit processes and equipment
o Development, optimization, and overall quality of work plans,
processes and standards
o HESS compliance - support Bayer Berkeley's commitment to safety
by complying with the programs regarding health, safety, and protection
of the environment. The incumbent demonstrates safe work practices,
contributes to safety meetings, provides input to relevant personnel
(e.g., operators, supervisors, technicians) regarding safety issues and
ensures resolution of non-conforming conditions
Maintenance / Reliability
o Establish, initiate, and analyze preventative maintenance (PM) and
calibration programs
o Collect, analyze, and report equipment downtime information
o Identify, report, and ensure resolution of critical equipment
items
o Develop, review, and implement recommendations to improve
reliability of infrastructure and production systems
o Maintaining the Calibration, Maintenance and Safety procedures in
defined area of responsibility
o Specification and strategy of spare parts needed to meet
reliability objectives.
o Coordinate of maintenance activities and shutdown requirements
for API production equipment and facilities
o Project management and detailed engineering of smaller and medium sized projects (AR, <$1,000,000), including planning, detailed design, procurement, construction management, quality, budget and optimization. Provide plant and production input and project engineering support for large projects, (AR, >$1 million
