What you'll do

• As a working student in the SAP HANA Product Management organization, you will collaborate closely with the database product management team to develop concepts for future services.

• The implementation of these concepts will facilitate an understanding of the potential value that upcoming features or solutions may bring to the product, directly influencing its success.

• This role offers firsthand experience in a product management organization and the opportunity to contribute to strategic topics in the SAP HANA area, working alongside technical database product managers.

What you bring

• Student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied sciences.

• Pursuing a degree (Bachelor or Master) in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a related field at a university or university of applied sciences.

• Strong knowledge of database technology and SQL.

• Basic experience with cloud technology, preferably with Docker and Kubernetes.

• Proficient in Linux, with knowledge of SUSE being a plus.

• Strong personal attributes: Reliable, self-driven, eager to learn, and a team player. Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability to handle unexpected topics.

• Fluent in English; knowledge of German or other languages is an asset.

• Nice-to-Have: Experience in building user interfaces and prototypes and knowledge of REST architecture style.

Meet your team

Our mission is to establish SAP HANA Cloud as the data management backbone for the SAP ecosystem, powering a wide range of scenarios, including transactional, analytical, and the next generation of intelligent data applications. The SAP HANA Cloud Product Management Team aims to maximize adoption, revenue, and market perception of our database products.

To achieve this, we collaborate with engineering, go-to-market (solution management), product marketing, and other cross-functional units to determine features that ensure existing customer success while opening new markets and revenue opportunities with every release. Researching our market and competition, listening to our customers and internal stakeholders, and understanding our technical advantages enables us to collaboratively develop a long-term strategy and roadmap approaching our ultimate goal.

Beyond that, we are charged with demonstrating the business value of our technological capabilities in a way that resonates with all stakeholder groups.

Your set of application documents should contain a cover letter, a resume in table form, school leaving certificates, certificate of enrollment, current university transcript of records, copies of any academic degrees already earned, and if available, references from former employers (including internships). Please also describe your experience and skills in foreign languages and computer programs / programming languages.
