This is a contingent position based upon contract award

KBR is seeking a highly motivated and career-oriented IT System Administrator to join our team supporting a government client in Maryland. In this role you will be part of the acquisition management team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, install, upgrade and configure data systems.

  • Administer operating systems and maintain basic security and recovery procedures such as scheduling and backups.

  • Perform assignments requiring experience and knowledge of standard concepts within their field.

  • Display core job competencies by analyzing possible solutions using standard procedures while developing advanced skills.

  • Manage multiple IT vendors to ensure completion of IT projects in a timely manner.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Clearance Requirement: TS/SCI with willingness to sit for a poly upon request

  • Minimum 5 years of experience

  • Must be a US Citizen

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and at least 2 years of directly related IT experience. A High School Diploma and an additional 5 years of directly related IT experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • Security+ Certification

  • Requires knowledge and understanding of TCP/IP networking principals in a Microsoft Environment to include network topologies and transmission media

  • Provides technical support for Microsoft Windows 2012/Win7 and Linux operating systems.

  • Familiarity with networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, and VPN troubleshooting.

  • Experience with IT support tools, ticketing systems, and remote desktop applications.

  • Experience in an enterprise IT environment or supporting large-scale systems.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and following security protocols.

Basic Compensation:

$90,200 - $135,300

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

This range is for the Maryland area only

Additional Compensation:

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
