Job Title: TIG Welder - 1st Shift
Job Description
The TIG Welder performs TIG welding techniques during the assembly process of diversified metal assemblies to the customer drawing specifications and work order instructions.
Responsibilities
Perform TIG welding techniques for fabrication.
Perform Mig and/or Arc welding techniques for fabrication.
Ensure weld operations are performed in accordance with established specifications (i.e., production work orders and drawings).
Conduct quality and self-inspection as per procedure using drawings, fixtures, jigs, and/or measuring tools.
Meet established objectives.
Ensure safety while handling parts and operating equipment to avoid any possible damage to others as well as production.
Actively participate in new product introduction and suggest new approaches and techniques for continued improvement in production and quality.
Ensure product and work order information is accurate.
Participate in the upkeep and cleanliness of the workplace and general area overall.
Perform routine welding machine maintenance as stipulated and outlined in the maintenance procedure manual.
Keep the workplace safe and free of dangerous obstacles.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
5+ years of experience in TIG welding.
Experience in welding heavy steel and stainless steel.
Experience with new build welds and repair welds.
Proficiency in reading blueprints.
Experience in MIG and arc welding.
Manual dexterity.
Troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Adaptability to various situations.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
High School or GED diploma.
Ability to weld freehand and out of position with TIG weld.
Mid to high skill level in TIG stainless steel welding.
Test will be required during the interview process.

Work Environment
This position works in a manufacturing setting with exposure to heavy equipment, machinery, and related noise levels. The role primarily requires standing for up to six (6) plus hours per day, with some duties requiring sitting for short periods. Must be capable of lifting 0-50lbs in the proper ergonomic position.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Binghamton, New York.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
