Job Title: Welder and Fitter
Job Description
The Welder/Fabricator will be responsible for fabricating and welding metal components according to specifications. This role requires a high level of precision and attention to detail to ensure the quality and integrity of the final product. The ideal candidate will have experience in various welding techniques and a strong understanding of metal fabrication processes.
Responsibilities
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine job requirements.
Set up and operate welding equipment, including MIG, Flux Core, Torches, Grinders.
Fabricate metal components using cutting, bending, and shaping techniques.
Perform welding operations to join metal parts, ensuring strong and durable welds.
Inspect completed welds and fabricated parts for accuracy and quality.
Essential Skills
5-10 years of welding experience.
4-8 years of fitting and fabricating experience.
4-8 years of experience welding on stainless steel.
5-10 years of experience welding off blueprints and shop drawings.
3-5 years of experience performing overlay welding.
4-8 years of metal gouging experience.
4-10 years of experience working with cutting tools and cutting torches.
5-10 years of metal cutting experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
3-6 years of experience operating torches, rose buds, hand plasma, and track torches.
Ability to work with math and geometry.
5-10 years of experience reading blue prints and weld symbols.
3-6 years of experience welding on structural steel or carbon steel.
3-6 years performing hardwire welding.

Job Shop - Non Climate Control (when it's hot it's hot and when it's cold they get heaters out). Laid back culture - work with team members to get projects out. Medium size facility and team about 20 people per shift. Dress Code - is PPE - Sleeves/work shirts, Steel Toe Boots, and Eye Protection.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Birmingham, Alabama.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $27.00/hr.
