Job Title: Machine Operator
Job Description
We have an immediate opening for machine operators. Candidates don't need specific machine operation or stamping press experience but must be comfortable working in a manufacturing environment. You will operate one of the 20 presses, working in teams of up to four. Responsibilities include placing raw material on the press, activating the press using a safety sensor, and visually inspecting parts. You might also need to use a gauge to ensure parts meet specifications. This role supports the automotive and heavy equipment industries by producing various metal products.

Work Environment
The company is a metal stamping facility supporting the automotive and heavy truck industries. It is a loud environment and not temperature controlled, so it gets hot in the summer. The culture is laid-back, and everyone works as a team. While the company is UAW Union, joining the union is not mandatory. The dress code includes wearing jeans and steel-toed boots. Shift is 3:30pm - 2:00am (Monday - Thursday), occasional Friday's depending on work load but they do pride themselves on 4 10 hour days. Will train on days from 5am-3:30pm for 3-6 weeks.
Pay:
- $18.48/hour.
- $0.65 shift bonus ($19.13) for 90 days and then $1.00 ($19.48) shift bonus
- .25 cent attendance bonus if you work your full schedule for that week

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bluffton, Indiana .
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.48 - $19.48/hr.
