The Doe Run Company is currently seeking a Maintenance Planner to manage the planning and maintenance activities for mobile, mechanical or electrical work for stationary and mobile equipment to maintain infrastructure and minimize production interruptions. This position is located at our Buick Resource Recycling Division (BRRD) in the heart of the beautiful Mark Twain National Forest in Boss, MO.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with other departments scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities to help operations achieve production goals.
  • Plan maintenance activities, including scheduled and unscheduled service and repair needs. Planning includes creating and implementing preventive maintenance schedules, prioritizing work, scheduling projects or events, determining resource requirements and ensuring all resources are available.
  • Manage rental, lease, and purchase of mobile equipment. Research technical documentation of obsolete equipment and procure repairs and upgrades to that equipment.
  • Partner with Purchasing to initiate requisitions, initiate AFEs, establish contracts, review SOWs, and ensure stock items are available. Assist and coordinate warehouse inventory requirements with purchasing and warehousing team.
  • Complete tasks in a safe and environmentally compliant manner by following EHS (environmental, health and safety) policies, procedures and best practices; support and assist peers in working in a safe, compliant manner; report unsafe acts or conditions, incidents, and deviations; and provide feedback to support continuous improvement in EHS performance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of maintenance planning or maintenance craft experience or exposure to maintenance operations (mobile, mechanical or electrical).
  • Valid drivers license

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, purchasing (People Soft), budgeting (Adaptive), drafting (AutoCAD), I-Series (LIMS, ETMS), Tableau, and maintenance planning systems. Basic skills in Microsoft Project
  • Proficient knowledge of mobile, mechanical or electrical equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and AutoCad preferred.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations preferred.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly required to use a computer, phone, and personnel carrier. Rarely required to use hand tools (powered and non- powered) and loading/hauling equipment (BRRD). Occasionally required to use personnel carriers.
  • Regularly required to use repetitive wrist/hand movement; Frequently required to reach with hands/arms, sit, stand, talk, walk, hear; Occasionally required to feel attributes of object , stoop kneel, crouch, crawl, climb or balance; Rarely required to grasp, push, drive. Requires clarity of vision at 20 feet or more and 20 inches or less. Ability to distinguish colors.
  • Regularly required to wear a respirator. Occasionally exposed to wet, humid conditions, moving mechanical parts. Occasionally exposed to moderate noise.
  • Frequently required to lift up to 15 pounds; Frequently required to lift 16 to 25 pounds; Rarely required to lift 26 to 50 pounds.
