Boston Public Schools Stipend Opportunity: Lead Coordinator Summer Assessments Project in Boston, Massachusetts
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: The Lead Coordinator ensures the Summer Assessments Project meets all OSS assessment and administrative standards. It will oversee the day-to-day operations of this project, including scheduling assessments, collaborating with other OSS units providing assessments, managing the report review pipeline, and signing off on completed case counts for payment and timesheets. Sometimes, the Lead Coordinator will review reports to ensure they are uploaded correctly to EdPlan and collaborate with the Deputy Chief or their designee on managing disputes. REPORTS TO: Deputy Chief of Services and Accountability or their designee RESPONSIBILITIES: The Lead Coordinator will: Create and maintain payment spreadsheets to capture the work of all assessors: psychologists, Special Education assessors, related service providers Review the uploading of reports in EdPlan to make sure it is done correctly and in a timely fashion Submit stipend information to the Office of Specialized Services for processing payments Supervise the Coordinator team and troubleshoot to cover the required tasks and areas of responsibility. Manage any assessment disputes that arise from the project. QUALIFICATIONS - REQUIRED: Current BPS employee (BASAS or Managerial) Master’s or Specialist’s degree. Experience in special education and BPS systems, including EdPlan, ASPEN/SIS, and GoogleSuite (in particular, Google Forms and Sheets). Demonstrated experience working well as part of a team, skills in data management, strong customer service skills, phone etiquette, following up with families, and willingness to be flexible as unexpected situations arise. QUALIFICATIONS - PREFERRED: Candidates fluent in one of BPS's official languages: Spanish, Creole (Cape Verdean), Creole (Haitian), Chinese, Vietnamese, Portuguese, & Somali. TERMS: The stipend rate for this role is paid at $67.54 hour. Activities for this role will be performed between 6/24/24 and 8/23/24. The expected work time is expected to take an average of 10 - 15 hours a week and vary depending on workload and type. " />
