Step into Your New Role Kleinfelder has an exceptionally strong portfolio of Client relationships in the Energy sector that is driving our ability to further grow and diversify our business. We are seeking a Licensed Professional Surveyor to join our Team in the Ohio Area. Office location is flexible, but preference will be given to candidates that live in the Toledo or Columbus areas. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in land surveying projects, ensuring accuracy and reliability in the collection and analysis of spatial data. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering top-notch surveying solutions. This position provides a great career-growth opportunity for an entrepreneurially minded and energetic person who can effectively collaborate with teammates and Clients. The ideal candidate will:

  • Conduct Field Surveys: Execute field surveys using advanced surveying equipment such as total stations, GPS receivers, and laser scanners.
  • Boundary Determination: Analyze legal documents, deeds, and maps to establish and verify property boundaries.
  • Data Collection and Analysis: Collect, process, and analyze spatial data to produce accurate survey maps, plats, and reports.
  • Quality Control: Implement rigorous quality control measures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of survey data.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay current with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards to ensure compliance in all surveying activities.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other professionals, including engineers, architects, and GIS specialists, to integrate survey data into broader project plans.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and calibration of surveying equipment to guarantee accurate measurements.
  • Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate records, field notes, and reports related to surveying activities.
  • Client Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients to understand project requirements,

Education, Experience, and General Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to lead, and grow, teams.
  • 5+ Years survey experience
  • Must have your PS or ability obtain your PS within a reasonable time
  • Must have a positive work attitude and ability to work safely and efficiently when managing multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work independently or with a team in a multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Position will require the candidate to adhere to work assignments/schedules, be self-motivated, organized, and have a keen sense of detail.
