Position Summary:
Position Summary:
The Physical Therapy Aide provides support services to the staff. This includes initiating patient care to assist OP therapists, assisting with group therapies and performing quality checks and proper set up in treatment rooms for safe, efficient care of the patient.
Minimum Qualifications:
Required
High School Diploma or Equivalent
American Heart Association BLS
Preferred
- Two (2) years hospital based rehab department experience
Essential Job Functions:
In addition to the essential functions of the job listed below, employees must have on-time completion of all required education as assigned per DNV requirements, Bozeman Health policy, and other registry requirements.
Performs quality checks following department and DNV standards.
Orders, delivers, restocks, and organizes supplies and equipment at therapy clinics.
Provides deep cleaning to treatment areas, gym equipment and employee areas.
Provides assistance to the Physical Therapist (PT) or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) during patient treatments requiring more than one individual for safety or equipment management. Assists PT or PTA with plan of care established.
Identifies opportunities to assist the PT or PTA and takes the initiative to complete duties within the scope of their training.
Abides by BDH's policies re: Infection Control
Perform other duties as assigned.

Schedule Requirements
This role requires regular and sustained attendance.
The position may necessitate working beyond a standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends and after-hours shifts.
On-call work may be required to respond promptly to organizational, patient, or employee needs.

Exposures (Continuously): Bloodborne pathogens, such as blood, bodily fluids, or tissues. Radiation in settings where medical imaging procedures are performed. Various chemicals and medications are used in healthcare settings. Job tasks may involve handling cleaning products, disinfectants, and other substances. Infectious diseases are caused by contact with patients in areas that may have contagious illnesses. Emotionally challenging situations, such as dealing with distressed patients or difficult family interactions.
