Job Title:Car Porter Location:Destination Ford, 10 S Bridge St, Brady, TX 76825
Position Overview: As a Car Porter at Destination Ford, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the dealership by managing vehicle movement and maintaining the lots organization. You will be responsible for the safe transport of cars between the service area, sales floor, and parking lot. Your efforts will support a positive customer experience and contribute to the overall efficiency of the dealership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transport vehicles to and from various locations on the dealership lot, including the service area, sales floor, and customer parking spaces.
- Keep the dealership lot organized, ensuring that vehicles are properly parked and neatly displayed.
- Assist with vehicle inventory by conducting periodic checks of available vehicles and ensuring proper placement of inventory on the lot.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dealership lot by removing trash and debris and ensuring that all vehicles are parked in an orderly fashion.
- Support the sales team by moving cars to the front for display or customer test drives.
- Assist with the preparation of vehicles for customer delivery, ensuring they are cleaned, fueled, and ready for pickup.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering basic questions, and providing directions or assistance as needed.
- Assist with washing and detailing vehicles as necessary.
- Ensure that vehicles are safely and securely parked, avoiding any damage.
- Assist the service department with vehicle shuttle services and moving cars in and out of the service bays.
- Follow all safety guidelines to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and others.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience in a similar role (preferred but not required).
- Ability to drive both manual and automatic vehicles.
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand, walk, and move vehicles for long periods.
Ability to lift and perform basic physical tasks.
Comfortable working outside in varying weather conditions.
