What to Expect:

We are looking for a Control Tower Scheduling Specialist based at our Brampton factory reporting into the Control Tower Supervisor, Customer Supply Chain. This role will be responsible for scheduling and adjusting orders as required. They will develop skills to assist the team by interacting with planning and execution users in the transportation frontline.

A day in the life:

As a Control Tower Scheduling Specialist, you will be working on ensuring operational success of load plans. The specific purpose of the scheduling specialist involves the scheduling (and rescheduling as needed) of all orders. You will develop specific competencies to support senior level frontline members.

You will also:

  • Review orders for customers without delivery appointment

  • Identify customers requiring appointments for delivery ensuring service

  • Interact with customer solution analyst (CSA) & Customer through relevant Communication channels

  • Resolve appointment related issues, if any, along with customer solution analysts (CSA)

  • Advise Supervisor to act in case no resolution is possible ensuring service to Customers & handling exceptions

  • Review & Contact Warehouse teams & customer solution analyst (CSA) teams for unplanned Freight Units (FU) strategies

Role Requirements

  • Relevant experience in physical logistics, be proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SAP and Transport Management System

  • A College/University degree, with proficiency in Communication and Regional Language

  • Have good understanding of business, be passionate for working with customers

Preferred Skills

  • Have core knowledge of the 10 Principles and expert knowledge in our areas of responsibility.

  • Understand 3P Logistics Process, Order to Cash Process, Sales, Supply Chain, Deployment and Finance functions.

  • Understand the interaction of all Supply Chain KPI’s e.g. Vehicle Fill Rate, Payload, Route Optimization, Customer Order Fulfilment, Invoice Accuracy, Net Trade Working Capital, Returns and Refusals

  • Have proactiveness for service improvements and responsive to customer demands

  • Show a strong desire to develop trust and long-term relationships
