Maintenance Technician role is responsible for installing, troubleshooting and repairing manufacturing processing and packaging equipment and distribution systems through a broad knowledge base of manufacturing skills in electrical, controls and mechanical disciplines involving work of a varied nature with minimum supervision, resulting in efficient and reliable operation of plant facilities.

From your EXPERTISE to ours

Key responsibilities for this position include:

Maintenance Technician

· Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment and facilities, and aid in the manufacturing of all company products in a safe and sanitary work environment.

· Perform emergency repairs in breakdown situations.

· Some overtime & weekend ” off hours” availability as needed even without forecast.

· Perform and follow all OSHA guidelines regarding work and safety manuals.

· Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment as scheduled.

· Ensure all programs are being upheld and documentation is current.

· Write simple correspondence, and complete manufacturing documentation completely.

· Ability to disassemble and assemble all parts of machines and support equipment according to the manufacturer’s specifications.

· Work in a safe and professional manner demonstrating positive attitude and professional demeanor in the performance of daily work

SQF Requirements:

· Maintain food safety and food quality through completing job tasks and maintaining the work area in a sanitary manner.

· Required to wear food safety/sanitation PPE (provided by company).

· This position necessitates conformance to personal hygiene regulations.

· Report food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.

· Ensure all programs are being upheld and documentation is current.

Qualifications:

· Working knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems.

· Must be able to assess all areas of machines and support equipment in Dairy facility.

· Be able to read basic electrical schematics and mechanical blueprints.

· Knowledge of hydraulic / pneumatic systems.

· Knowledge of boiler function and operation.

· 3-5 years’ experience in maintenance divisions or experience in a related position.

· Ability to perform TIG welding

· High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

This is a 12 hour shift 6pm-6am (Every other Weekend off!):

Week 1: 48 Hours, Week 2: 36 hours

Week 1: Sat-On, Sun-On, Mon-Off, Tues-Off, Wed-On, Thurs-On, Fri-Off

Week 2: Sat-Off, Sun-Off, Mon-On, Tues-On, Wed-Off, Thurs-Off, Fri-On
