BBG Personnel Services MIG WELDER in Brenham, Texas
MIG WELDER
Monday - Friday;7:00 am - 5:00 pm
$20.00 - $22.00 per hour
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Read blueprints, drawings, and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures
Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements
Set up components for welding according to specifications (e.g., cut material, roll material, weld material)
Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded
Align components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces
Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal, or overhead)
Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws
Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety
Advise management on needed actions
Maintain effective communication with the Weld Lead to achieve desired results
Operate heavy machinery and equipment, including overhead cranes and cutting torches
Follow U/L Guidelines
Keep a safe and clean work area

JOB REQUIREMENTS
A minimum of two (2) years of industry experience preferred
Management experience preferred
Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures (MIG, TIG, MMA etc.)
Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers etc.)
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.)
Deftness, attention to detail, and detail oriented
Professional Certification (e.g., an AWS welding certificate) will be a plus
Effective communication skills
Time management skills
Computer literacy
Ability to stand for multiple hours
Ability to multi-task and problem solve
Familiarity with Warehouse environment
Experience operating forklifts
