Job Title: CNC Machinist
Job Description
We are hiring for a 1st shift and 2nd shift CNC Machinist at our Bristol, PA site. The CNC Machinist will set up, operate, and maintain CNC mills, lathes, and EDM machines. They will read blueprints, troubleshoot programs, and ensure quality. The role includes producing machined parts by operating and setting up computer numerical control (CNC) machines, maintaining quality and safety standards, keeping records, and maintaining equipment and supplies. Some programming and editing may be required.
Responsibilities
Operate, set up, and potentially program CNC mills, EDMs, and CNC lathes within specified tolerances following work instructions and machine programs.
Run 5-axis machines.
Propose new production setups and change offsets/tooling in machines.
Perform difficult CNC Machinist work, maintaining close tolerances on various parts and metals.
Read and evaluate blueprints or specifications.
Troubleshoot and understand CNC programs and processes.
Improve and produce work instructions.
Assist Engineering with redesigning fixtures to increase quality standards and productivity.
Change dull tooling and make minor offsets/adjustments for tooling wear.
Ensure product quality by adhering to operator-owned quality standards and requirements.
Use a range of measuring equipment and interpret readings.
Propose adjusted speeds and feeds for different machining requirements.
Perform routine maintenance as per daily machine checklist and adhere to the PM schedule.
Perform hand finishing.
Follow Good Manufacturing and Good Document Practices (GMP/GDP), including job routers/cards completion.
Ensure safe working practices to minimize risks, identifying, and reporting issues.
Achieve set productivity targets and identify ways to improve productivity.
Record all activities in a timely manner on the job tracking system.
Support Continuous Improvement activities and escalate manufacturing issues to the Team Leader/Supervisor.
Maintain 5S/housekeeping standards within the work area.
Essential Skills
Ability to operate, set up, and maintain CNC machines.
Experience running multiple CNC machines.
Capability to set up, adjust offsets, and operate development and production jobs.
Ability to program with some supervision.
Solid math skills, including measuring and keeping count records.
Effective planning, prioritizing, and organizing tasks and activities.
Ability to read and follow technical drawings and diagrammed instructions.
Proven track record of quality, on-time production runs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in medical device, automotive, aerospace manufacturing (smaller parts & tight tolerances).
High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
2+ years of CNC Machining experience.
Associates degree/certificate in Tooling & Machining or Machinist apprenticeship preferred.

Work Environment
1st Shift - 7:30am-4pm (Monday-Friday) and 2nd Shift - 4pm-12:30am (Monday-Friday) with a 10% shift differential for the 2nd shift. Employees can work as much overtime as they want.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
