NexGen-US LBM LLC Team Assembler in BRITTON, South Dakota

NexGen-US LBM LLC, dba Truss Pro's Inc. headquartered at 10954 424 Ave., Britton, SD, 57430, phone number: 800-658-5594, is looking to fill eight (8) Team Assembler positions from 10.01.2024 - 12.31.2024. This is for full time, peak-load temporary employment. Duties include: As team assemblers, workers will work as part of a team responsible for assembling wood trusses for commercial and residential buildings. Workers will use a saw to cut out the truss, assemble the wood truss on the table, use hammers to apply steel gusset plates at all joints, using a large press to fasten steel gussets according to work order and blueprint specifications. Workers will stack, and band together finished wood trusses and lumber to be prepared for delivery using a forklift to load and unload lumber and trusses onto delivery trucks. Training will be provided. Requirement: Six (6) months of assembly or related experience. Must be able to lift and carry 75 lbs. 75 yds. Must pass employer-paid pre-employment, post-accident, and other random drug testing.

The pay rate is from $20.50 up to $21.50 per hour with overtime available from $30.75 up to $32.25 per hour, based on hourly rate. 40 hours per week from shifts: Mon-Fri 7:30AM - 4:30PM Mon-Thur. 4:30PM-4AM. Job opportunity is a temporary, full-time position. Daily travel to worksites in the area of intended employment is required. The requested temporary workers will be based at 10954 424 Ave., Britton, SD, 57430 and will service clients within the East South Dakota nonmetropolitan area BLS/MSA, including the counties of Marshall County. Employer provides transportation to and from all worksites.

Single workweek will be used in computing wages due. Pay period is weekly. Employer provides housing, utilities, and transportation to the workers at a weekly payroll deduction of $62.50. Employer will make all deductions required by law. Workers may be held financially liable for any willful or negligent damage to company equipment, property, or provided housing. The offered housing is optional to workers. Transportation, including meals and, to the extent necessary, lodging, to the place of employment will be provided, or its cost to workers reimbursed by a company check, separate from the payroll check, if the worker completes half of the employment period. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, employer will arrange and pay directly for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back to home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economically and reasonable common carrier for the distance involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts. Reimbursement in the first work week for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government, incurred by the H-2B worker (but not included passport expenses or other charges primarily for the benefit of the worker). The employer will provide worker, at no charge, all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job and on the job training in the proper use of tools and equipment. The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period only to the extent that this guarantee is enforced by the Department of Labor. As of the date of this posting, the three-fourths guarantee is not enforced.
