Position Summary

Are you a packaging engineer with a passion for the food industry?

Imagine yourself immersed in the heart of the Cailler chocolate factory, an iconic place where tradition and innovation have come together for over a century. As a Packaging and Process Specialist, you will have the unique opportunity to contribute to the production of one of the world's most beloved chocolates.

By working in our product and packaging development team, you will be involved in innovative and renovation projects. This experience will allow you to discover the behind-the-scenes of our chocolate factory, immersing yourself in a dynamic and stimulating environment.

A day in the life of PACKAGING & PROCESS SPECIALIST

  • Provide expert know-how for the development and implementation of new packaging solutions in the factory (category and local projects).

  • Ensure packaging standards are applied in the factory and take actions to sustain packaging performance.

  • Act as a technical interface between factory and CTAG Packaging Cluster to turn initiatives into tangible committed actions between both teams.

  • Ensure that sustainability commitments are followed and aligned with packaging development.

  • Improve overall packaging process efficiency in filling & packing.

  • Identify Total Delivery Cost packaging opportunities within the factory and implement them in alignment with the Category Packaging Strategy.

  • Contribute to the development of purchasing specifications for packaging materials and ensure optimal number of specifications and packaging materials in the factory and the co-packer. Implement standardized materials whenever feasible.

  • Ad hoc support to CoMan/CoPack projects in the market.

  • Provide technical expertise to solve day to day factory packaging related issues.

  • Analyze and implement preventive/corrective actions for packaging continuous improvement (e.g., following consumer complaints, participate DMAIC/GSTD, line efficiency, waste reduction…).

What will make you successful

  • Successfully completed Bachelor or Master in Packaging technology, material science or mechanical engineering.

  • Project management experience in packaging

  • Operational experience in packaging development, packing operations or experience from converting industry.

  • Capacity to solve multi-factors operational challenges.

  • Capacity to take actions ensuring the timely delivery of results.

  • Proven track record in delivering results by working with cross-functional teams.

  • Experience of working and managing multiple stakeholders.

  • Very good communication skills in French and English and capacity to adapt to the audience.

  • Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency
