The Legal Director for Radiometer is responsible for leading a team of 4 legal associates supporting Radiometer’s global organizations (including its Swedish subsidiary HemoCue) in meeting business objectives in collaboration with legal colleagues across Danaher’s global organizations.

This position is part of the Radiometer Global Legal Team located in Copenhagen, Denmark and Stargard, Poland and will be based in Copenhagen, Denmark.

You will be a part of the Global Legal Team comprising 15 associates in total and report to the VP, Legal and General Counsel responsible for compliance, intellectual property, and legal support to the global Radiometer organizations. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Lead and develop a team of engaged legal associates while managing your own portfolio of matters, including business development, trade compliance and corporate matters as well as high impact contracts and disputes.

  • Ensure effective and high-quality support to all parts of the organization on matters within all legal areas of relevance.

  • Be part of Radiometer’s organized leadership community.

  • Involve with colleagues globally in the Danaher Legal organization on projects to improve legal support across Danaher.

  • Drive the development and implementation of compliant business practices that promote ethical behavior and mitigate legal risk.

  • Experience a unique cross-functional collaboration across the globe to improve business processes to drive growth and innovation.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Law degree from an esteemed European law school.

  • At least 10 years postgraduate experience advising on commercial law topics in a dynamic international business environment - whether from private practice or in-house or a combination.

  • Strong leadership skills, including the ability to influence senior leaders and to lead and motivate a legal team to deliver excellent support to the organization.

  • Capability to navigate and collaborate across teams in a diversified matrix organization.

  • Excellent communication skills, including ability to provide clear and actionable legal advice supporting business objectives to non-legal stakeholders at various organizational levels.

  • Demonstrated experience in successfully creating and implementing solid business processes.

  • Good sense of judgement and ability to prioritize according to level of risk and impact.

  • Strong integrity and commitment to ethical business practices and courage to defend own positions to protect the business from unacceptable risk or behavior.

  • Fluent in written and spoken English.

  • Up to 20 travel days per year.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Leading a team of legal associates.

  • Providing legal advice in relation to the life science/healthcare sector or other regulated industries.
