Parkchester Department of Public Safety Public Safety Peace Officer in Bronx, New York
PARKCHESTER DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY - Parkchester DPS is seeking qualified candidates to fill the positions of Public Safety Peace Officers. The prospective salary for Parkchester Peace Officers is approximately $90,750 after 5 years. Benefits includes life insurance, medical coverage, vision plan, dental package and annuity-retirement plan.
Qualifications/Requirements: - HS Diploma/or GED - Valid NYS Driver's License (no restrictions or serious traffic violations) - Prior law enforcement/security experience is preferred but not required - Must be the age of 20 or over - Must reside within NYC's 5 boroughs - Extensive background check by NYPD conducted (successful completion required to obtain Public Safety Peace Officer status) - Must have a valid NYS 8- and 16-Hour Security Guard License - Must be able to complete eight-week physical training in an academy
PREFERRED SKILLS - Military experience preferred - College degree preferred

SCHEDULE: Varies (40 hrs. per week)
