Robert Half Accounts Payable Clerk in Brooklyn, New York

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in Brooklyn, New York. This role is within the non-profit sector where you will be entrusted with various tasks related to accounts payable, data entry, and invoice processing.

Responsibilities:

• Handle the processing of invoices accurately and in a timely manner

• Conduct account reconciliation activities to ensure accuracy of records

• Administer check runs to manage payments efficiently

• Engage in coding invoices for the proper allocation of expenses

• Carry out data entry tasks related to accounts payable

• Utilize software programs such as Microsoft Excel, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for various accounting tasks

• Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues related to accounts payable

• Monitor customer accounts and take necessary action based on account status

• Ensure the maintenance of accurate customer credit records

• Process customer credit applications, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Requirements • Demonstrated proficiency in Account Reconciliation

• Solid experience with Accounts Payable (AP)

• Ability to perform Check Runs efficiently

• Familiarity with Coding Invoices

• Proficient in Data Entry tasks

• Experience in Invoice Processing

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel

• Experience with Oracle software

• Proficiency with QuickBooks

• Experience in using SAP software

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Proven ability to meet tight deadlines

• High level of integrity and trustworthiness

• Non-profit industry experience is a plus.
