New York University Clinical Faculty | Sr. Dentist | Brooklyn in Brooklyn, New York

NYU Dentistry is seeking a highly qualified dentist to fill the role of Clinical Faculty / Director of Clinical Operations at NYU Dentistry Brooklyn Patient Care. This position requires a full-time commitment (5 days a week) and encompasses leadership of clinical operations as well as direct patient care responsibilities.

The Clinical Faculty / Director of Clinical Operations will be responsible for overseeing all clinical functions, including the management of equipment, instruments, and ancillary laboratory services. Additionally, this role will involve the supervision of a team of dentists, hygienists, assistants, and support staff. The position will also lead the implementation of a mentor-protégé model aimed at enhancing efficiency and improving student learning. As part of this model, the Director will personally interview, select, and mentor student protégés (4th year dental students) or associates, who will provide patient care alongside faculty-mentors. In addition, the Director’s role will include overseeing all clinical functions, including the management of equipment, instruments, and ancillary laboratory services.

NYU offers competitive compensation, excellent benefits, and incentives based on growth and production. Salary and academic rank will be commensurate with credentials and experience. In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $180K - $280K. New York University considers factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.

Qualifications

  • Leadership experience - for example, leadership in organized dentistry, or in a large or multi-site private practice

  • Passion for leadership, management, and decision-making

  • Passion for empathetic patient care

  • At least 5-10 years of practice experience in general dentistry or a dental specialty

  • Proficiency in operative dentistry, endodontics, digital dentistry, fixed and removable prosthodontics, periodontics, and esthetic dentistry

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Strong desire to build and maintain a high-volume practice in a fast-paced environment

  • Comfortable working with people from diverse backgrounds

  • Commitment to inclusion and equity

  • D.D.S./D.M.D. degree and eligibility for licensure in New York State
