MICHELS CONSTRUCTION INC. Project Manager I in BROWNSVILLE, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Michels Construction, Inc. seeks multiple Project Manager I to plan, direct, and coordinate activities of infrastructure project phases or multiple smaller projects to ensure objectives of projects are accomplished within prescribed timeframes and funding parameters. Review project proposal, understand the scope of the work and contract to develop an understanding to determine schedule, funding (costs/revenue), staffing, means and methods and allotment of resources. Maintain and promote a strong safety culture for all employees, vendors, and customers and follow all safety and environmental policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions. Confer with project staff to outline schedule, work plan and to assign duties and responsibilities. Coordinate activities with field staff of the project to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget. Responsible for contract management: including pay applications, correspondence, RFI\'s, COR\'s, Notice of Changes, Delays, and initial conversations through final project close-out. Additionally, once awarded/executed, serve as the point of contact for customers (internal and external) on contractual matters, ensuring timely review and reconciliation/approval of variations. Review status reports prepared by project personnel and modify schedules and cost/revenue projections as required. Work with Estimating department to create historical data on performance for future bidding purposes. Assist with Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) and testing protocols. Work with a variety of other tools and technologies including Primavera, HCSS, B2W, and Microsoft Project. Requirements: Bachelor\'s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field plus 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience as project manager or engineer for large scale construction projects (\$10 million+), including work with estimating, scheduling, and project controls software. Alternatively, will accept Master\'s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field plus 2 years of experience as project manager or engineer for large scale construction projects (\$10 million+), including work with estimating, scheduling, and project controls software. Valid driver\'s license also required. Job is based out of company\'s Brownsville, WI headquarters.
