Are you an entrepreneurial leader with a growth mindset and passionate about improving animals’ health? Then join our international and dynamic team as the new Animal Health (AH) Business Unit Head - Pets and Equine for Belgium and Luxembourg!

As a Business Unit Manager Pets & Equine, your leadership skills help you to set direction and empower a highly committed team of Marketing, Sales and Technical professionals. You work in close collaboration with regional and corporate colleagues in different domains in a matrix structure to fully leverage on the companies’ resources.

The role is located in Brussels, Belgium, you will report to the Head of AH and be part of the AH Management Team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sales and Marketing management and technical support:

• Responsible for the Business Unit’s Revenue and P&L.

• Responsible for the development and execution of the AH Strategy for the Pets & Equine Businesses.

• Deliver Net Sales Targets through development and implementation of sales, marketing and scientific activities for the BU Team.

• Develop and implement the KAM strategy and processes.

• Ensure Sales & Operations planning & processes and continuously optimize Go-to-Market model and efficiency of Wholesalers/Distribution network.

• Report and Monitor the performance via appropriate tools and to all relevant stakeholders.

Leadership:

• Lead, coach, develop and motivate team members to ensure optimal individual and team performance.

Key Stakeholder Management and Communication:

• Establish and maintain relationships with relevant key stakeholders (Key Accounts, veterinarians, scientific community and wholesalers) throughout Belgium and Luxembourg.

• Ensure efficient information transfer and communication with relevant internal stakeholders on national, regional, and global level.

Project Management:

• Responsible for the operational and strategic interactions with key wholesalers.

• Responsible for the successful organization of external key events involving customers.

• Pro-actively participate in improving the efficiency of internal processes and systems.

WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING TO THE TEAM

• Master's degree in Business Administration, Marketing or Veterinary Medicine is strongly preferred.

• At least 10 years of professional experience. Veterinary industry experience highly valued.

• At least 5 years of experience in people leadership and talent development.

• Solid experience in Sales and Account Management, complemented with Marketing experience.

• Excellent command of the English and either Dutch or French (bilingual in French and Dutch is considered a plus).

• Strong entrepreneurial business skills capable of driving top and bottom-line performance.

• Experience in change management, including communication and coaching.

• Strong communication skills.
