Citigroup Payroll Tax Analyst in Budapest, Hungary

We are looking for a Payroll Tax Analyst to join the Global Payroll Services team based in Budapest. This role will be responsible for managing employment tax laws, rules and regulation changes for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region.
Responsibilities:
Perform business analysis for Payroll operations organization
Review and validate implementation of Employment Tax Laws, Rules and Regulation changes
Track and ensure timely implementation of Employment Tax changes
Create and implement internal procedures and business requirements
Develop and implement user application test plans; Execute test plans and identify discrepancies
Create and manage the business analysis and documentation of system change specifications
Resolve discrepancies with technical and business personnel, implement corrective measures, and retest as needed
Interpret data and make recommendations
Act as SME to senior stakeholders and other team members
Ideal background:
2-5 years relevant experience in payroll, payroll tax and employment tax compliance
Good communication skills in English
Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Excel
Bachelor’s/University degree
Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision
In-depth specialty area knowledge in monitoring, assessing, analyzing and evaluating processes and data
