Orange County-based Environmental Consulting firm specializing in environmental assessments, remediation, and construction is seeking a dedicated Project Geologist to join our team . They are committed to sustainable practices and ensuring a positive impact on the environment.

Job Description

As a Staff/Project Geologist, you will play a crucial role in our environmental projects. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Environmental Field Investigations: Conduct field investigations related to environmental assessments and remediation.

  • Perform soil sampling, drilling, and classification.

  • Field Oversight and Reporting: Oversee field work, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

  • Compile data from field activities and write comprehensive reports.

  • Project Management and Logistics: Manage project schedules, logistics, and resources efficiently.

  • Coordinate with other team members to ensure seamless project execution.

  • Technical Analysis and Reporting: Analyze data collected during field investigations.

  • Prepare Phase II reports with detailed findings and recommendations.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

  • Experience: A minimum of 4 years of experience in Environmental Geology.

  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or Engineering.

  • Certification: Desire to work towards obtaining a PG (Professional Geologist) or PE (Professional Engineer) license.

  • Field Skills: Proficiency in field sampling and soil classification.

  • HAZWOPER Certification: Preferred but not mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary: $80,000 - $95,000 per year, with eligibility for overtime pay if desired.

  • Benefits: We offer comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, paid time off (PTO), holiday pay, and sick leave.

  • Work Schedule: Typical work hours are from 9 am to 4 pm, allowing for a healthy work-life balance.
