Job Description

The Application Architect is an expert in two or more applications and the integration points of multiple applications. Determines criticality of issues and necessity to escalate as a business impacting event. Oversees and/or assists with initial setup and/or upgrades, configuration and installation of hardware or software for complex projects. Independently designs and develops complex documentation for a large product area. Known as an SME for technology tools, products and/or processes. Develops and maintains an online knowledge base and/or document library for applications. Uses existing systems and modifies features for off the-shelf systems. Responsible for report writing. Works on assignments that are moderately complex where judgment is required. Provides guidance, training and mentorship for junior staff. Acts as an informal team leader as needed. Demonstrates thorough knowledge and utilization of Process Improvement and Change Management. Continues to maintain and grow expert knowledge of software, integration, end-user workflow and industry trends. Performs effectively in a team environment and establishes positive relationships with vendors, peers, and customers.

Education And Credentials

Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Healthcare Administration or related healthcare field required. IT Specific Certification. Two plus Application Certifications (or, if not available, equivalent expert knowledge of two or more primary applications.)

Experience

5 years of experience in Healthcare Information Systems required.
