Young and Wright Architectural Architectural Project Coordinators (MULTIPLE OPENINGS) in Buffalo, New York

Duties: Produce detailed drawings using computer-assisted drafting systems (CAD), drafting machines, or by hand with drafting devices like compasses and protractors. Coordinate integration of structural, electrical, and mechanical designs to ensure multi-disciplinary coherence in projects. Analyze building codes, by-laws, space and site requirements, and technical documents to assess their impact on architectural designs. Meet with clients and stakeholders to discuss construction designs. Draw rough and detailed scale plans for foundations, buildings, and structures, based on preliminary concepts, sketches, engineering calculations, and specifications. Draft building plans for commercial, industrial, and residential construction projects. Conduct field surveys, inspections, or technical investigations to gather data required for construction drawing revisions. Prepare budgets, material documents, and specification lists for client approval. Obtain and assemble data to complete architectural designs, including visiting job sites to obtain necessary measurements. Act as an intermediary between the client and the construction team. Prepare colored drawings of buildings and interior designs for client presentations, demonstrating design intent and aesthetics. Prepare cost estimates, contracts, bidding documents, and technical reports for projects under the supervision of architects or engineers. Visit the local project site to ensure construction adheres to state regulations. Create progress reports, time schedules, and revised budgets to ensure the project remains on time and within specifications.Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equiv) in Architecture, Construction Management or closely related field of study + 6 months’ experience as an Architectural Drafter, Construction Manager or related position. Experience is required and must include: Creation of complete set of architectural drawings for a project; 3D BIM Modelling (Revit) and CAD (Autocad); 3D Renderings and Animations in order to develop marketing materials, proposals, or presentations; Coordinating the work of construction consultants and integrating engineering elements into unified architectural designs; Meeting with clients to consult and review functional or spatial requirements of structures. *These skills can be obtained through employment, education, or training.
