What will you do?
Coordinate daily activities with housekeeping and staffing to ensure guest rooms and public areas are cleaned, and perform cleaning duties when necessary.
Inspect guest rooms and public outlets daily to ensure adherence to the quality assurance program and follow up on maintenance requests.
Prepare weekly inventory, check in supplies, and report discrepancies, while completing the daily housekeeping report.
Train and Supervise Front Desk Team members and/or housekeeping team members, depending on the day, ensuring adherence to quality standards, deadlines, and proper procedures; evaluate team member job performance and recommend appropriate rewards or corrective actions.
Provide guidance to team members on handling difficult problems and resolving escalated guest complaints, and implement policies, procedures, and service standards in conjunction with management.
Perform cleaning duties on slower day or when staff shortages occur.
Prepare and issue work schedules, deadlines, and duty assignments for office or administrative team members.
More about you
Housekeeping experience required with supervisory experience preferred.
Front desk experience preferred.
Experience with a multitude of computer programs includingHotSOS and property management systems.
Previous commercial cleaning and guest service experience preferred.
Working knowledge of various cleaning utensils, dryers, vacuum cleaners, tools, and fixtures.
Ability to follow instructions and work well under pressure.
Physical requirements
Frequent climbing of stairs, bending, stooping, reaching, kneeling, standing, walking and carrying.
Use of hands to operate cleaning equipment and complete scrubbing/washing duties.
Ability to push carts weighting up to 200 lbs and occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Visual acuity sufficient to inspect cleanliness of rooms and surfaces.
Regularly exposed to fumes and toxic or caustic chemicals and occasionally exposed to wet, outside weather and/or humid conditions.
