Job Title: Machine Operator & Forklift
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Machine Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating automation machinery, ensuring product quality through consistent monitoring and adjustment. You will also handle the loading and unloading of products, including concrete blocks, cinder blocks, and masonry blocks. This role is physically demanding and involves heavy lifting, bending, and crouching.
Responsibilities
Operate and monitor automation machinery
Adjust machines as necessary to ensure product quality
Perform quality control checks on products
Load and unload products up to 30 lbs
Engage in heavy lifting, bending, and crouching throughout the shift
Participate in cycle counting and inventory management
Drive a sit-down forklift
Utilize computer systems for various tasks
Essential Skills
Minimum of 6 months production/manufacturing experience
1 year of machine operating experience
1 year of general labor experience
Experience with automation machinery
Mechanical aptitude
Ability to consistently lift up to 50 lbs
Must have sit-down forklift experience
Must be able to drive
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with tumbler and splitting machines
Basic machine adjusting and programming experience
Hand and power tool proficiency
Safety-focused mindset
Initiative and willingness to learn

Work Environment
The facility is a loud and dirty production/manufacturing environment due to the nature of the products and machinery. There is a large yard for product storage. The current shift is from 6 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Saturday. Flexibility for weekend work and schedule changes is required. Each team consists of 5 members, fostering a family-oriented and supportive culture, with regular team-building activities such as BBQs and catered lunches.

This is a Contract position based out of Rocky View County, Alberta.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
