What you will do
We are looking for a talented and highly motivated sales leader, with a track record of success, to lead and develop our Spine, CMF, and Enabling Technologies sales team in Western Canada. This Regional Sales Manager will plan, direct, and coordinate the selling activities of Sales Representatives and Associates under their supervision in accordance with budgeted objectives in order to obtain maximum profitability and growth in relation to pre-set standards. Candidates for this position must build and shape a strong team and culture as well as serve as a key member of the Spine and CMF leadership team, while championing Stryker’s Mission and Values.
Coach, develop and lead direct reports by providing developmental and growth opportunities
Build and maintain exceptional employee engagement throughout the department
Conduct annual performance reviews and bi-annually interim performance reviews
Conduct employee engagement sessions annually, and create and execute action plans based on these sessions
Responsible for departmental compliance with company policies and corrective actions
Responsible to live and exemplify Stryker’s Values: Integrity, Accountability, People, and Performance.
Locates, interviews, and hires top level sales talent for Stryker Medical Sales Representatives
Sets overall regional goals and territory quotas and evaluates their performance against these goals
Develops plans in accordance with the Business Unit Director, Medical to maximize sales opportunities in the region
Develops and recommends strategic plans with representatives to achieve greater market share/penetration
Evaluates performance and takes corrective action where appropriate with sales representatives under their supervision
Prepares monthly highlights and necessary reports to keep the Senior Management adequately informed of progress
Assists in the negotiation of sales transactions and divisional agreements
Coordinates and distributes funds out of a regional budget
Works with marketing department to keep sales force informed of new information pertaining to the market
Understand that compliance with the Code of Conduct, as it may be amended by Stryker Corporation from time to time, is a condition of continued employment with Stryker
Conduct work in compliance with all laws, rules, and regulations and in accordance with Stryker’s high ethical standards
What you need
University degree required
3-6 years of medical device sales experience with a proven track record required
Minimum 5 years of direct sales management experience required; in Medical Device Industry preferred
Internal applicants with an equivalent combination of education, experience and performance over time at Stryker will be considered
