Robert Half HR/Payroll Generalist in Camarillo, California

Description We are on the lookout for an HR Generalist to join our team in Camarillo, California. This role involves a range of responsibilities from processing bi-weekly payroll to managing offboarding procedures. This role is a contract to hire employment opportunity, perfect for those seeking stability and growth in their career.

Responsibilities:

• Process and administer bi-weekly payroll in collaboration with the finance department

• Track and monitor employee time and attendance, and process time-off requests

• Develop and maintain accurate and organized employee records in accordance with confidentiality requirements

• Create and update the company's HR policies, procedures, and internal HR documents

• Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing paperwork, conducting orientations, and coordinating with various departments

• Manage offboarding procedures and conduct exit interviews

• Lead benefits enrollment processes and assist employees with benefits-related inquiries

• Develop and execute performance reviews with periodic follow-ups on goals, improvements, and achievements

• Administer all Workers’ Compensation claims and work closely with adjusters, brokers, and carriers

• Prepare and distribute HR-related documents, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws

• Address basic employee inquiries and escalate issues to the appropriate management personnel

• Coordinate training sessions, workshops, and development programs

• Establish competitive programs to ensure employment retention

• Organize and administrate company events.

Skills:

• Proficiency with ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now

• Knowledge of ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode and Ceridian

• Familiarity with HRMS and About Time

• Experience with Benefit Functions and Compensation Administration

• Understanding of Compliance and Employee Relations. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an HR Generalist or in a similar role

• Proficiency in ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now

• Experience with ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode

• Knowledge of Ceridian and HRMS systems

• Proficiency in About Time software

• Experience in managing Benefit Functions

• Knowledge of Compensation Administration

• Understanding of Compliance procedures in HR

• Proven track record in successful Employee Relations

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field is preferred

• Professional certification in Human Resources (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus

• Familiarity with labor laws and regulations

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and experience in conflict resolution

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
