Eaton Corporation Quality Engineering Supervisor in Camarillo, California

Eaton’s IS AER ITD Aerospace Interconnect division is currently seeking a Quality Engineering Supervisor. ​

The expected annual salary range for this role is $105225.03 - $154330.04 a year.

What you’ll do:

Primary Function:

Reporting to the Site Quality Manager, this position gives direction to Quality Engineering and Supplier Quality functions, as needed. This position provides leadership, mentoring, evaluation and development of Quality Engineers and Supplier Quality Engineer. Also, Quality Supervisor will be working very close with the Inspection team (Final and Receiving)

The Quality Supervisor lead will facilitate problem solving, ensure coordination and communication of corrective and preventive actions, and assist the quality manager in system development and maintenance.

The Quality Supervisor is also responsible for driving supplier improvement in the areas of Quality, Delivery and Lean Manufacturing initiatives.

* This position must report on-site daily at our Camarillo, California location.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Identify needs, and develop the Quality Engineering and Supplier Quality Engineering functions as required.

• Select and develop competent Quality Engineers and Supplier Quality Engineers to ensure quality goals are achieved.

• Provide direction to ensure compliance with all applicable customer requirements and government regulations involving product quality.

• Drive customer, supplier and internal corrective action and preventive action for timely and effective completion.

• Support improvement performance of key suppliers by implementing process controls and develop quality assurance plans.

• In collaboration with the Site Quality Manager review, improve & standardize the daily activities and actions necessary to support the key functional initiatives which will drive the organization forward.

• Analyze key organizational metrics and recommend actions & plans to drive for improvements.

• Assure effective communication and reporting to customers and suppliers.

• Supervise Quality Engineering personnel as assigned or required.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.

• Minimum of 3 (three) years in Manufacturing Quality Supervision or Management.

• No relocation benefit is being offered with this position. Only candidates residing within an immediate geographical area of Camarillo , Ca will be considered.

• This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All accepted applications must be U.S. Persons as defined by ITAR (U.S. citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Five (5) years of work experience in Quality function in the Aerospace industry.

• Experience working with Aerospace suppliers.

• Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).

• Knowledge of industry quality registration requirements and certification processes (i.e. ISO9001/AS9100)

• Knowledge of standard manufacturing processes including acceptance testing, assembly operations, machining, welding, and measurement systems in an Aerospace environment

• Demonstrated use of Lean Tools and Six Sigma and problem-solving tools and techniques (8D, A3, 3-Legged 5 Why).

• Experienced in use of AIAG quality tools to reduce variability and mitigate risk (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plan, MSA, and SPC).
